Pregnant Belly Photos San Francisco

Pregnant Belly I don't have one-size-fits-all packages - every shoot of mine is customized to suit the client.

When a potential client contacts me, I like to start by having a quick phone conversation to get a general idea of what kind of photos she's interested in having done, and cover the basics of the shoot: concept, location, wardrobe, hair and makeup, the proofing, retouching, and printing process, and budget. If it turns out we're on the same page, we'll go ahead and book a date, I'll send a confirmation email with all the details... then we shoot!

Here's some thoughts to get you started:

Concept & Location:
If you haven't already, it's probably a good idea to look for examples of maternity photos that you like. You might get ideas of poses, locations, or wardrobe that you'd like to incorporate into your shoot. Maybe you have some props that you'd like to use, or access to an interesting location for the shoot... or you'd like to get kids, partner, or even pets involved. What could we do to make your photos unique?

Wardrobe:
Your comfort is always my top priority, and wardrobe is no exception. Consider your comfort level - whether you'd prefer to shoot draped in flowing fabric, forego clothes entirely and shoot artistic black and white nudes, wear long sleeves and jeans, all of the above, or something completely different. I can provide some examples of different looks, but in the end, it's up to you.

Hair & Makeup:
I typically recommend that clients make room in the budget for a professional hairstylist and makeup artist, rather than going to the hair salon and makeup counter. The advantages of hiring a pro with experienced in hair and makeup for photography? They'll stick with us and watch out for stray hairs and touch up makeup as necessary, and some makeup products are more photo-friendly than others. If that's not feasible, the salon and counter method works as a next-best option. Some clients even opt to do their own hair and makeup, which works in a pinch.

Proofing, Retouching and Printing:
Depending on your budget and needs, we might work out a plan where I put thumbnail-sized proofs of all the photos up online, and you'll pick 5 photos that you'd like me to retouch and print for you. Or maybe you'd rather I go through the photos and make a CD with the best 50 photos, for you to send to the printer of your choice. We'll figure something out that works for you, and fits your budget.

Then it's time to look at our calendars and book a shoot!
